Project Selection Criteria

africadigna_01

We work in rural areas to prevent migration of local people to the slums of large cities where they live in miserable conditions.

We aim to look for projects that promote local development; we are a foundation that does not operate in emergency situations or conflict areas.

Those responsible for projects in Africa must share our philosophy and respect the culture and environment of the country.

The beneficiaries are those who, depending on their needs, we design projects for. They need to make some kind of contribution either through financial, labor or other resources.

One of the main criteria for projects is their economic viability and their sustainability.

Projects are closely monitored by members of the foundation who make regular trips to Africa and stay in constant contact with the project partners.

In the selection of each project, we assess the costs of monitoring and always seek the lower expenses (in administration and management).

We do not pay expatriate salaries, but rather encourage promotion of local people to be responsible for our projects in África.

We avoid major capital projects that can be unnecessary and sometimes counterproductive.
